Morguinness
Race: Human
Unit: The Fellowship of Maethodoron
Birthplace: Gondor
Weapon Style: Sword and Shield
Born to a family of minor nobility from Gondor. His father settled in
lands west of
the Gap of Rohan and created a lucrative merchanting business. A young
Morguinness was soon plied into the trade as well, but found it
tedious.
While fishing on the River Isen, he was captured by a scouting party
of pirates and
taken to their base in Umbar. At first the pirates considered
ransoming him, but
he simply refused to leave. Their lifestyle appealed to him, as did
their manner of
doing "business". He spent several years with them, and then returned
home.
However, on his way back to his father's lands he encountered an
entire company of
Orcs about to do battle with Araduin and Bram. He proclaimed that he
would join
the Orc's side because otherwise it would simply be unfair. At this
moment, a
three-way battle ensued between Araduin and Bram, the Orcs, and
Morguinness.
Finally, after two days of continuous fighting, and all the Orcs long
dead, the three
decided to settle the dispute over a few kegs of rum that Morguinness
had
conveniently carried in his saddle bags. And thus began The
Fellowship.
