Meroidoc Aerodust Bodash
Race: Vampire
Unit: Nighstalker Company
Birthplace: Aeynee
Weapon Style: Sword and Flail
Meroidoc Bodash has traveled through many different realms throughout his centuries of life, or un-dieing life, as he is a pureblood vampire. He was brought into being in the realm of Aeyee, where he roamed around growing in power and speed. His favored weapons were twin doubled-headed battle-axes. If anyone could escape is blood lust, they could only describe him as a moving shadow. He preferred to wear his deep black hair in long knotted locks that would hang down to his middle back, a leather coat that fitted him perfectly and could brush the tops of his ankles, pants that were so dark that they seemed to suck light into them from all around, and boots to match. Soon after turning himself a small band of followers, he grew bored of the realm, and, after slaughtering all the followers, he moved from through a few different realms until he came upon Demijoure, where he decided to stay for a while. Not too long after setting up a residence, he met one intriguing spirit, Mercaine. These two became quite good friends, even though Mercaine’s blood lust did not match that of Meroidoc’s. While in the realm Mero, as some one who was lucky enough to be called a friend would call him, learned a few more tricks that he could use to move around more easily, one of those being the spell Alter Self. With this, he could disguise himself when he entered new realms, so not to alarm any suppositious persons to his true race. In changing his physical appearance, he also had to change his weapons; because how many five foot tall men can wield two battle axes. In his times through the realms, he grew rather fond of brandishing two scimitars.
Across the many centuries that Meroidoc traveled, he only had one real problem: Sunlight. It so happened that one night while in Eberron, right before he was going to sink his teeth into his next meal, the man that was pleading for his life spoke of a necklace that would keep the sun from burning him. After he finished his meal, he knew everything the man could tell about the necklace. Meroidoc crossed the realm to find it only to watch it be taken to a different realm by a puny mage. For the next several years he had chased the item that was so valuable to him across hundreds of realms, including Faerûn and its cities that he will always remember such as Waterdeep, Neverwinter, and Baldur’s Gate. When he finally caught up to the pesky mage, and killed him of course, he found himself in Maethodoron. That very next morning would prove to be the most fateful day of his entire existence, for it would be the morning that he would find out if that man, so many years ago, was lying or not.
Meroidoc Aerodust Bodash, Pure-Blood Vampire created in Aeynee, stood on a hill, facing east, wearing the necklace, to watch his first sunrise; which could also be his last if the necklace held no magic. The sunrays peaked over the mountains far in the distance, and those rays stung his eyes like never before, no spell could recreate a burning ball of light to match even one millionth the intensity of just those first few rays on sunlight. He felt a warmth come over him and he cursed the man’s soul, for he thought he was surely combusting into flames; but it was only the warmth of the sun, he came to realize after looking all over him seeing no flames. He knew that he would come to love his newfound freedom, if only some one could turn down the brightness on that burning ball of light. Mero explored the new realm and he had a strange feeling that he should stick around this realm for awhile. To his complete surprise, he found Mercaine in this realm; while he was not surprised one bit when he found him gathering a group of this realms natives around him. Feeling this was as good as any place, Mero set him self a residence here, and shall stay here until something better roles along. He now looks like most of the individuals in this realm, but he is usually never with out his cloak, made of a dark brown and black material. His weapons of choose vary quite a bit, ranging from this scimitars, to sword and shield, and some times spears. He has also been known to use great weapons. Some rumor that he still has his twin double-headed battle-axes with him, but no one alive has seen him actually wield them. So, for now he will fight in and sometimes for Maethodoron…
