Ignatius Lucius Silvanus Race: Human Unit: The Fellowship of Maethodoron Birthplace: Roman Gaul Weapon Style: Great Weapon/ Sword and Shield Ignatius Lucius Silvanus was born in 216 A.D. in Gaul to a Roman centurion father and a Gaulish mother. His mother was a priestess of the Celtic goddess Sucellos and thus Lucius was inducted in to the Forest God’s faith. Lucius spent a fairly peaceful childhood on the frontier of the Roman Empire, growing up more as a farmer than as a warrior. That all shattered the day of his eighteenth birthday. Germanic raiders attacked his village; he saw his father die with the defenders of the village as he fled into the forest, trying to protect the women and children. In the darkness he got separated from his fellow villagers, and he stumbled through the forest, disoriented, losing track of time. When he finally found another person, he discovered he was in the realm of Maethodoron. He had somehow been transported across space and time, a strange event which he decided was a blessing and an omen from the Forest God. He stayed in Maethodoron, forming a surrogate family with his newfound companions. |
