Araduin is a ranger, scouting the shores of the river on the southern end of the kingdom of Rivervale. He is the son of the steward of his realm; although rumors exist of his line being that of a king, the evidence is inconclusive, and the issue is barely debated. The realm is well-governed by Araduin's father, so the desire to place a king on the throne is barely an issue.

Araduin is of the Dunedain race, which is why many mistake him for being younger than his actual age. His love of the woods and of the Elven tongue is indicative of his geneology, his grandmother being of the Elvish race. His weaponry includes Narmegil, the Fire Sword, and Rogrist, the Demon Cleaver.

His crest contains silver and gold fields, with the castle fortress on the left and a sword on the right symbolizing his kingdom's need for defense from the southern border. The three waves symbolize the river that determines the border, but the red eight-pointed star is of an unknown origin.
